I’ve always had it in the back of my mind I would own my own business. The topic fluctuated across my life, but always came back to the flexibility of owning my own business.
I have always needed the stimulation of variety. I cannot imagine clocking into the same job day-in and day-out, completing the same tasks on repeat. I thrive on the chaos of multiple projects and clients.
I love learning in any fashion: new skills, new programs, or new techniques. I store all I learn and use it to help me fill in blanks of future programs.
I have an innate understanding of programs and love to figure out the ins and outs. I think there is a huge gap in the different video trainings. Many videos start at what they call “the beginning”, but really their beginning assumes you have a base understanding of the program and how it works. My goal is to fill this gap and help people feel empowered to use these skills.
This had been in the back of my mind for over a year, before I took the plunge and launched BDST. The ability to share my knowledge and help others learn has always been a dream.

You’ve got this!
These skills can be mastered by anyone at any level, any age, and any background. Understanding your true program knowledge and growing from there will help reduce overwhelm and frustration. I think in 5 separate levels:
Introductory: You’ve likely never worked in or seen this program or anything similar. The best place to start is an overall program orientation and basic capabilities.
Novice: You’ve worked a little this program or something similar. You can do a couple of small things, but nothing past the basics.
Experienced: You’ve mastered the basics and can figure your way through some tasks. You can do what you know really well, but often but up against a gap in knowledge that makes additional tasks difficult.
Expert: You’ve mastered the basics and have worked through various problems. You have the knowledge to search for the solution you need and solve them.
Master: You know the ins and outs of the program. There is little you can’t do and can quickly work through problems.
